Monastir, originally a fishing town, has become one of Tunisia’s most popular tourist destinations and has it’s own international airport.
That comes as no surprise, as it boasts some incredible beaches, plenty of things to see & do and a fascinating history. It also has all of the amenities and services that you are likely to need.
Accommodation in Monastir
There are plenty of hotels in Monastir, and it is possible to find apartments for a longer-term stay. As with elsewhere in Tunisia, it is generally considered that the mid-range accommodation offers the best value, although if you are looking for somewhere luxurious you will certainly be able to find it!
Low budget accommodation is harder to find. If you are planning to travel independently and not as part of a package tour, you will find that during the height of the season it can be very difficult to find somewhere not fully booked out.
