Things to do in Djerba
If you feel like a change from the beach, there are plenty of things to see and do in and around the area. There is a castle, some mosques, historic sites and one of the island’s most famous landmarks is the La Griba synagogue which was built in the seventh century BC.
It’s always interesting to visit the markets where you may find craftsmen at work, and if you like to bargain – and you really must – you may find silverware, pottery and other items at a decent price.
